Customer Comment:

Enjoyable flights over to Barbados with BA despite the 8 hour flight time. Plenty of films and activities in flight to keep you occupied and fairly good airline food. This was followed by a short over in Barbados before two further flights, island hopping, to Grenada. I was promptly picked up and then show to my hotel, The Flamboyant, which was clean and serviceable with friendly staff, perfect for someone diving and spending limited time in their room. The following day I met Phil the owner of Dive Grenada, a very personable and friendly individual and we ended up talking for a considerable time about the diving around the island. Alongside Phil and his wife, are the two main dive guides Gary and Cojack. You will struggle to find more friendly or knowledgeable guides on the island. The set up was excellent and you were made to feel welcome and safe from the start. In addition to taking me to some great dive sites were is was lucky enough to see several sea turtles, a few sting rays, a nurse shark, the largest puffer fish and barracuda i have ever seen, the diving is idyllic. There is a very friendly atmosphere, a range of dives to suit any ability level and a stunning location in which to rest and relax outside of the diving.

Additionally, if you ask Phil, Gary or Cojack, they will happily point you in the direction of some great places to eat and drink around the island, though the food and beers within the Owl at The Flamboyant are also worth sampling, and all at a reasonable price. I was fortunate enough to meet people who had a car and thus managed to explore some more of the island with them, however if i had not, i would have struggled to explore much further than St Georges. This would have been a shame as, show in in some of my photographs; there are many beautiful places throughout the island including the cocoa plantation and the Seven Sisters waterfalls. Overall i had a great holiday in Grenada, met some genuinely friendly and caring people who i will continue to stay in contact with, and i fully intend returning to the island again in the near future. It is simply one of those places that you instantly fall in love with.
