Stuart Coves Dive Bahamas

South West New Providence

Stuart Coves is a PADI Gold Palm and Universal Referral unit in Nassau with a full service dive centre offering photo and video facilities. The centre has been operating since 1978 and its dedicated and experienced dive team have been exploring the surrounding reefs, wrecks, and coral walls of Nassau with guests ever since. Located on the southwest side of New Providence Island, Stuart Coves is in the ideal location to take advantage of the diverse underwater geological formations. Here you will find dive sites to suit all level of divers so whether you are a new or experienced diver there is something for everyone including four new shipwrecks that have been placed in the last two years with the help of the Stuart Coves team.

The feature activities at Stuart Coves are "adventure dives" consisting of Shark Adventures and Wall Flying Adventure programs. The Shark Adventure program is a 2 tank dive trip that takes divers on an underwater encounter with Caribbean reef sharks. On the first dive you participate in a "free swim" with the sharks along a beautiful wall. On the second dive, the group forms a semi-circle 15 metres down on the sandy bottom and watches while a professional shark feeder enters the water with a box of bait. Upon reaching the bottom, the feeder begins feeding the sharks with the aid of a pole spear. To say the sharks come close to the divers is an understatement, they are everywhere!

Stuart Coves offers a full range of PADI accredited courses from Try Dive right through to PADI Instructor level. Experienced divers can participate in up to 5 dives a day. Two dives are offered in the morning with two additional dives in the afternoon. An optional night dive is available on selected evenings. Dive sites encompass steep vertical walls that plummet to 6,000 feet of depth, shallow tropical reefs, 13 different locations containing ship or airplane wrecks and numerous locations that were used as underwater movie sets for feature films.

Important notices: :

Dive packages are based on 2 tank reef dives (AM or PM).
