It boasts a very friendly atmosphere with clusters of gaily painted fishing boats bobbing on the water and wooden benches spaced beneath the trees this little town will bedazzle you with its quaintness. This family run hotel offers cosy, well-furnished accommodation at moderate prices with high level of comfort at any time of the year.

The hotel consists of individual rooms, studios and one bedroom apartments with a maid service and change of towels every 3 days. The Block Hotel also has a bar and a restaurant called The Captains Table on the ground floor offering breakfast, lunch and dinner or if one fancies, a couple of drinks after a good days diving!!

All areas of the Block Hotel are also easily accessible to persons with special needs and there is a lift with accesses all levels. Other activities include the sandy and pebbly beach which is just opposite the hotel, for the adventurous it is possible to swim and snorkel off the rocks bordering the beach. This typical Gozitan fishing village hosts a number of fishing vessels and boats for visitors to go out exploring in, and the town offers all the amenities for travellers including restaurants, bars and souvenirs shops.

One Bedroom Apartment

The one bedroom apartments consist of a double bedroom and a sofa in the living room that can be converted into a double bed. It can comfortable accommodate four people and has a living room and dining area. There is also a fully equipped kitchen for those nights when guests wish to eat in. There is a lift to all floors.

Ritual

Xlendi Bay, Gozo

Located in Xlendi Bay on the island of Gozo. A long established dive centre the shop is beneath the Block Apart Hotel and offers guests a wide range of scuba products from discover scuba diving right through to instructor training. The knowledgeable and fully trained staff have an excellent reputation for scuba training, professionalism, organisation and are on hand to ensure guests have a wonderful experience whilst diving in Gozo.It is a PADI rated diving school that offers a wide range of scuba products from ‘’Open Water’’ to ‘’Instructor development’’. All staff are fully qualified and trained to a PADI standard and have had great experience in the area for many years.

Shore diving accompanied or unaccompanied is also available and you will need to speak with the dive centre on arrival if you wish to do any unaccompanied shore dives. The centre has two modern boats, a 6 metres rib and a day boat which are equipped with drop tanks, first aid kits and oxygen these take clients out to a variety sites including Fungus Rock and Rozi Wreck.

Diving Courses:

All courses include equipment, certification and instructor services. Manuals are not included and will be charged at the dive centre. Manuals are approximately 35 Euros.

SSI Open Water Diver

This is a completion of a series of classroom lessons, 5 pool lessons and 5 open water lessons, the award of SSI Open Water Diver prepares the diver to enjoy their diving experience without incurring decompression stops. Kit removal and weight belt removal are included.

Open Water Lessons
5 qualification dives with 5th dive being a pleasure dive. First dive to a Maximum of 12m and subsequent dives to a maximum depth of 18m or 12m if classed as a junior.

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

SSI Advanced Diver

In order to complete the SSI Advanced Divers you must have completed a total of 24 dives Including the 5 open water dives and done 4 specialties

SSI Recommend a maximum qualifying depth of 30m but this can be increased to 39m with experience.

Stress and Rescue course can be taken before or after Advanced Diver.

The SSI Advanced Diver course includes 5 open water dives and done 4 specialties.
