The resort boasts a range of rooms and packages to suit all guests’ needs and pockets. Consisting of 14 standard rooms, 10 deluxe rooms and 5 executive rooms collectively they are elegant and traditional in design, each room is fully equipped with all the modern amenities and all have air-conditioning. With a choice of packages on a full board basis certified divers can choose between 2 to 3 dives a day and there is also an array of adventures available for non-divers. This resort has more to offer than just diving, cultural village tours can be arranged, bikes can be rented for the more adventurous customers wanting to explore the countryside, learn how to sail a small dugout canoe with a bamboo mast and a plastic sail, hire a jet ski, enjoy a banana boat ride, book a whale and dolphin watching tour or go snorkelling.

Patuno Resort Wakatobi offers a professionally run dive centre headed by qualified and experienced PADI Instructors. You can rest assured that you will be in good hands when diving with the team, attention to detail is second to none and PADI safety standards and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times. With two wooden day boats fully equipped to take divers out to the amazing dive sites and three speedboats that service the house reef area you really are in for a treat. The surrounding waters are full of overhangs, caves, colourful and abundant with marine life including schooling jacks, fusiliers, reef sharks and the occasional passing hammerhead shark!

The spacious restaurant is situated on the scenic jetty, enabling you to enjoy the beachside atmosphere and natural surroundings. The varied menu incorporating a range of European, Asian and local Indonesian cuisine is sure to wet your appetite, and with produce coming fresh from the resort’s gardens you will be impressed by the high quality.



Board Basis :

  • Full board diver 2 dives a day – includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, 2 boat dives and PADI dive guide, tanks and weights, snack, drinking water and tea and coffee and soft drinks on day trips, airport transfers and local tax and service charge.


  • Full board diver 3 dives a day – includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, 3 boat dives and PADI dive guide, tanks and weights, snack, drinking water and tea and coffee and soft drinks on day trips, airport transfers and local tax and service charge.


Transfer Times
Patuno Resort Wakatobi is only a 10 minute drive from the Matahora Airport in Wangi-Wangi.

Fly from Denpasar to Wangi Wangi via Makassar. Flight departs at 18:20 and arrives Makassar 19:40 for overnight stay.
The return flight from Wangi Wangi to Denpasar is via Makassar. Flight departs at 12:30 arriving 14:15 with connection at 16:45 arriving Denpasar at 18:00.

Patuno Wakatobi Dive Centre is professionally run and headed by a well qualified and experienced PADI Instructor who has been diving in the Wakatobi area for over nine years. Attention to detail is second to none and PADI safety standards and procedures are strictly adhered to at all times.

The dive centre offers the full range of PADI dive training courses from PADI Open Water up to PADI Divemaster, and at present can offer all courses in English or Indonesian.

If you have forgotten any of you diving equipment or you do not own your own equipment, fear not, you can hire anything from a full set of equipment to a torch or computer. Prices are payable locally to the dive centre.

Day trips are available to Sombu & Wandoka, Karang Gurita & Matahora, Kapota and Hoga areas. All Wakatobi Day Trip prices are valid for a minimum of 2 divers.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Open Water Diver (Inc Equipment)

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Rescue Diver

Become a Rescue Diver. A great level to be. You will have the skills to aid your fellow divers in an emergency.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques.
