Borneo Culture & Nature Tour

Day 1 -Kota Kinabalu / Kota Belud /Rungus Longhouse (Lunch/Dinner)

In the morning at around 8am, you will be picked up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel.
Depart for Kota Belud for lunch before proceeding to the northern tip of Borneo, and then Longhouse of the Rungus tribe. Upon arrival at Longhouse, free at leisure. At night, experience a Rungus dinner & share some jokes with the villagers.

Day 2 - Rungus Longhouse / Kinabalu Park (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

You will experience a Rungus village morning with birds singing amidst the crowing of the roosters in the background. A traditional Rungus breakfast of steam farm produces like sweet potatoes & tapioca with tea or coffee will be served followed by a chance to buy some Rungus handmade handicrafts.

Depart for Kinabalu Park. Upon arrival, you can opt to do the many trails at the Park. After lunch, you could visit the botanical garden or do some nature walks. Dinner will be served at rest

Klias River Cruise Wildlife

At around 2 o’clock in the afternoon you will be picked up from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel or Kota Kinabalu airport and depart for Klias driving pass remote villages.

Arrive at Klias at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, then cruise by boat in search of proboscis monkey and long tail macaque.

At around 6:30 in the evening, you will experience a local kampung style. After dinner, get a glimpse of the fire flies at the lounge (subject to weather condition). Then, depart back to Kota Kinabalu.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Island Tour

At around 9am you will be picked up from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel and transferred to the jetty for a 15-20 minutes’ boat ride to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Island.

The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is a snorkelling, diving and even jungle walking sanctuary. Transfer to one of the islands at Sapi or Mamutik where you can swim and snorkel. Then transfer to Manukan Island for BBQ lunch.

After lunch at the island, you have time to relax before your transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival in Kota Kinabalu you will be picked up from the jetty and transfered back to city hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

Manukan Island Escape

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Manukan Island (Lunch/Dinner)

You will be picked up at around 9am from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel and transferred to the jetty for Manukan Island, the second largest among five islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. This boomerang shaped island has good stretches of beaches on the coastline which is ideal for snorkeling, diving, swimming or simply relaxation. Poring Hot Spring & Kinabalu Park

Morning pick up at about 7:30am from Kota Kinabalu city hotel and depart for Poring Hot Spring (about 3 hours’ drive) driving pass remote villages with great scenery.

Upon arrival, take a quick dip in the hot spring pool (optional charge) which most people believed to possess medicinal effect. There is also an option to trek to the Poring Canopy Walkway to experience life & sight from above tree tops. After that, depart for Kinabalu Park.

Upon arrival at the park, lunch will be served at the restaurant. After lunch, you can opt to do the many trails or just relax & enjoy the cool weather at the Park. Orang Utan Half Day Excursion

Sepilok Nature Resort

Day 1 - SANDAKAN/SELINGAN ISLAND (Lunch/Dinner)

Meet upon arrival at Sandakan airport. First you will have a guided tour to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 10am. Then together with a guide you will be transferred to Timpohon Gate, the starting point to Mount Kinabalu where you will start your trek up the mountain. Layang Layang is a small island, just fifteen acres, and lies in one of the very best diving areas in the world. The resort is operational from March to September when the seas are calmest and visibility is up to 200 feet.

The resort is made up of 6 blocks of tropical hardwood timber structures housing 86 well furnished guest rooms.

Diving Package Details

The diving package includes return flights from Kota Kinabalu and vice versa, accommodation based on twin share superior room, 5 meals a day including a light breakfast, main breakfast, lunch, and tea break in the afternoon and dinner.

The package also includes 3 boat dives a day apart from arrival and departure day. The in-house PADI dive centre is professionally run by a team of experienced and qualified instructors.

Domestic Flight Information

The transfer to the resort is on a small plane and it takes about 1 hour from Kota Kinabalu.

Flights depart from Kota Kinabalu, terminal 1 on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday departing at 06:30 arriving Layang Layang at 07:50. The return flight departs Layang Layang at 08:00 arriving Kota Kinabalu at 09:20. There is no air ticket issued as verification is via passport.
