Seaventures Dive Rig is a PADI centre located off the north east coast of Borneo just 1km from the white sand beaches of Mabul and only 20 minutes from Sipadan’s world famous dive sites.

The Seaventures Dive Rig is the perfect place to start your underwater career. The fully qualified and experienced dive team can teach a full range of PADI courses ranging from Open Water to Assistant Instructor courses. Specialties such as Cavern Diver and Nitrox are also available at the resort.

The centre offers 3 boat dives a day with professional dive masters to Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai. The trips to Sipadan are scheduled in the morning, leaving the afternoon free to explore the macro rich reefs of Mabul and Kapalai.

Seaventures itself is a fantastic dive site and with unlimited diving beneath the resort you will have the opportunity to get to know the local residents very well.

Borneo Culture & Nature Tour

Day 1 -Kota Kinabalu / Kota Belud /Rungus Longhouse (Lunch/Dinner)

In the morning at around 8am, you will be picked up from Kota Kinabalu city hotel.
Depart for Kota Belud for lunch before proceeding to the northern tip of Borneo, and then Longhouse of the Rungus tribe. Upon arrival at Longhouse, free at leisure. At night, experience a Rungus dinner & share some jokes with the villagers.

Day 2 - Rungus Longhouse / Kinabalu Park (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

You will experience a Rungus village morning with birds singing amidst the crowing of the roosters in the background. A traditional Rungus breakfast of steam farm produces like sweet potatoes & tapioca with tea or coffee will be served followed by a chance to buy some Rungus handmade handicrafts.

Depart for Kinabalu Park. Upon arrival, you can opt to do the many trails at the Park. After lunch, you could visit the botanical garden or do some nature walks. Dinner will be served at rest

Klias River Cruise Wildlife

At around 2 o’clock in the afternoon you will be picked up from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel or Kota Kinabalu airport and depart for Klias driving pass remote villages.

Arrive at Klias at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon, then cruise by boat in search of proboscis monkey and long tail macaque.

At around 6:30 in the evening, you will experience a local kampung style. After dinner, get a glimpse of the fire flies at the lounge (subject to weather condition). Then, depart back to Kota Kinabalu.

Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Island Tour

At around 9am you will be picked up from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel and transferred to the jetty for a 15-20 minutes’ boat ride to Tunku Abdul Rahman Park Island.

The Tunku Abdul Rahman Park is a snorkelling, diving and even jungle walking sanctuary. Transfer to one of the islands at Sapi or Mamutik where you can swim and snorkel. Then transfer to Manukan Island for BBQ lunch.

After lunch at the island, you have time to relax before your transfer back to Kota Kinabalu. On arrival in Kota Kinabalu you will be picked up from the jetty and transfered back to city hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

Manukan Island Escape

Day 1 - Kota Kinabalu / Manukan Island (Lunch/Dinner)

You will be picked up at around 9am from a Kota Kinabalu city hotel and transferred to the jetty for Manukan Island, the second largest among five islands of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. This boomerang shaped island has good stretches of beaches on the coastline which is ideal for snorkeling, diving, swimming or simply relaxation. Poring Hot Spring & Kinabalu Park

Morning pick up at about 7:30am from Kota Kinabalu city hotel and depart for Poring Hot Spring (about 3 hours’ drive) driving pass remote villages with great scenery.

Upon arrival, take a quick dip in the hot spring pool (optional charge) which most people believed to possess medicinal effect. There is also an option to trek to the Poring Canopy Walkway to experience life & sight from above tree tops. After that, depart for Kinabalu Park.

Upon arrival at the park, lunch will be served at the restaurant. After lunch, you can opt to do the many trails or just relax & enjoy the cool weather at the Park. Orang Utan Half Day Excursion

Sepilok & River Cruise Day Trip

Sepilok Nature Resort

Day 1 - SANDAKAN/SELINGAN ISLAND (Lunch/Dinner)

Meet upon arrival at Sandakan airport. First you will have a guided tour to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. Trek ten minutes through the rainforest on wooden plank walks to witness the feeding of the orang utans at 10am. At around 06.30 you will be picked up from the hotel in Kota Kinabalu city and depart for Kinabalu Park. Drive will take about 2 hours through the Crocker Range. Then together with a guide you will be transferred to Timpohon Gate, the starting point to Mount Kinabalu where you will start your trek up the mountain. The Sipadan Mabul Diving Resort is in a beachfront location on Mabul Island and is the best equipped of the resorts for both divers and non-divers. It has its own swimming pool and ocean kayaks for when you are feeling energetic and want to have a look around the island by sea.

The resort consists of 45 wooden chalets set as 22 deluxe stand alone chalets and 23 semi-detached standard room chalets accommodating up to 90 people at any one time.

Sipadan Permit Fee: Please note that SMART no longer offers diving in Sipadan for stays at the Standard Semi Detached or for packages at the Detached Stand Alone Chalet that are less than 7 days and 6 nights duration.

Package Details

The package includes transfers between Tawau airport and Semporna jetty by van and transfers to Mabul Island by speedboat. The accommodation is based on a chalet standard twin sharing basis with attached bathroom and the comfort of air-conditioning. While at the resort all your food and hot beverages are included (excluding alcohol, fruit juice and carbonated soft drinks).

Smart Divers is on site offering a boat combination of 3 dives per day with dive masters to Sipadan, Mabul or Kapalai Island (except arrival and departure day) and unlimited beach diving at Mabul's House Reef.

Transfers Boat Schedules:
1 hour and 30 minutes from Tawau airport.

Please Note: Sipadan Permit Fee is excluded from the accommodation rates. A fee of 40 Malaysian Ringgits per person per day will apply at the resort. The entry permit fee is subject to approval from the Sabah Parks Management.
