Magic Oceans Dive Resort

Magic Oceans Dive Resort in Anda offers an ideal base for a Bohol diving adventure, with easy access to 16 kilometres of dive sites. Divers can experience everything from dramatic reef walls and vibrant macro life to the occasional encounter with whale sharks.

Bohol is a province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, and Magic Oceans Dive Resort, situated in Anda on the island’s east coast, occupies a privileged position within this beautiful and verdant destination. Often described as the “Jewel of Bohol”, the area remains peaceful and largely untouched, offering stretches of white-sand coastline that provide a glimpse of the natural beauty to come. The resort is set within a beachfront paradise framed by a steep rocky backdrop, lush jungle, and a tropical fruit nursery, while the surrounding landscape is rich with palm trees, hibiscus, jasmine, and an array of vibrant tropical flowers.

The resort features 16 spacious bungalows, each designed to maximise comfort and relaxation, with large balconies offering panoramic views of the tropical surroundings. Guests are able to unwind in private seating areas while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere. Inside, the bungalows are furnished in a native style and include a king-size bed, wardrobe with safe, desk, fully stocked minibar, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms are equipped with a powerful shower, bath, pool towels, toiletries, and a hairdryer. All accommodation is air-conditioned and includes complimentary unlimited mineral water, WiFi, and access to an on-site laundry service.

Magic Oceans Dive Resort offers a restaurant and bar serving a relaxed selection of meals and refreshments, alongside a swimming pool that is ideal for both dive training and leisure. For added relaxation, guests may enjoy treatments at the on-site spa, which features a serene Japanese-inspired garden setting, air-conditioned massage suites, a hand and foot spa offering manicures and pedicures, and a yoga terrace where regular classes and practice sessions are held.

The resort is also home to a stunning house reef with direct access from the dive centre, making it ideal for both divers and snorkellers. While the region is renowned for its extensive network of dive sites along the Anda coastline, it also offers a wide variety of land-based experiences. Highlights include excursions to the iconic Chocolate Hills, where visitors may climb 200 steps to admire panoramic views of more than 1,200 conical hills spread across 50 square kilometres. The Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary offers the opportunity to observe one of the world’s smallest and most endangered primates in its protected natural habitat.

For more adventurous experiences, guests can snorkel with turtles at Turtle Reef or enjoy adrenaline activities such as the tree-top zip line and cable car at Loboc Ecotourism Adventure Park. A visit to Can-Umantad Waterfalls offers a scenic end to the day, often combined with a firefly-watching experience and dinner aboard a floating restaurant, where guests can witness the natural glow of fireflies as night falls.

Philippines

We had a brilliant two weeks diving at Magic Oceans, the resort was intimate (a little like a liveaboard but on land) The accommodation was comfortable spacious and had all the facilities that we required. The diving was not particularly testing though on some dives there was some current, but there was lots to see, though sadly the whale shark seen on the house reef the day before we arrived didn’t return while we were there. All staff were friendly courteous and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure we had an enjoyable time whether that was diving, at the bar or in the dining room. The arrangements by Ultimate Diving were first rate as always with plenty of communication before we travelled to make sure everything as in order and even a last minute change of return flights was dealt with promptly professionally and communicated to as and the issue resolved to our satisfaction. We have already booked our next diving trip to the Maldives in September 2016, with them and are already making enquiries about a trip in early 2017. We cannot recommend Marcelina and Ultimate Diving highly enough, we are always more than happy to entrust them with our holiday arrangements.

Magic Oceans Dive Centre

Magic Oceans Dive Resort

Opening in July 2015, the Magic Oceans Dive Centre will be offering guests the best diving experience in the Anda area. Equipped with a specific camera area complete with air guns, good light and big cleaning basis, photographers will be well looked after.

The big size dive centre offers more than enough space for 32 divers in a way that every diver gets his/her own specious spot to hang and store their gear. Adapted to the wishes of the now-a-days diver there is a camera area where you can blow your camera dry, where you can safely change the set up with the bright light above and where you can charge all batteries needed. The specious Philippine wooden banca boats take you to more than 30 dive spots around Anda, where we let you dive in small groups of 4 to 5 divers per dive guide. Besides the Anda dive sites we also go to Camiguin Island for another 15 dive sites.

The diving in Anda offers a big variety of coral covered walls and sloops but also more than enough muck dive sites. For XXS (pygmy seahorse) to XXL (whale sharks encounters and big schools of big fish) can be seen, from amazing critters like blue ringed octopus to ordinary clownfish and turtles.

The big compressors put either nitrox or air into 12ltr aluminium tanks that have both Din and Int. connection. In the morning we bring 2 tanks for you and after the lunch at the resort we go out for another dive. Are you still not tired of diving then you can join us to watch the amazing mating dance of the mandarin fish or a festival of crabs and critters during a night dive.

Please Note:

Course prices include manual and certification fee. Diving equipment is only included with the Open Water Course. Ultimate Diving can arrange your equipment rental for all other courses and daily diving at the time of booking.

Marine Park Fees - Payable Locally:

Please note there is an additional local tax of PHP100 (Approx. £1.50) per person per dive
