Sands Apartments

The Sands Apartments are very conveniently situated just off the main road through St Paul’s Bay and about 100 metres from the Maltaqua Dive Centre. Their position just on the edge of the town means they are close to all of the amenities. Designed for divers, there is no need to lug gear upstairs as there is a basement room to wash and store equipment

Maltaqua are a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre and BSAC Centre of excellence so you are sure to be in safe hands. Founded in 1970 by Mike and Agnes Upton, both CMAS National Instructors, PADI Staff Instructors and BSAC Advanced Instructors who have both logged thousands of dives since they started diving in 1968. Both are teachers by profession so diver training has always been of particular interest to them.

In the 40 years that Maltaqua has been one of Europe's leading dive bases it has serviced tens of thousands of clients and trained thousands of divers and hundreds of highly skilled instructors. They have always strived to improve the range and quality of service they offer to their clients but always maintain a policy of Safety First. Over the years their standards of safety and service have brought them world wide recognition and acclaim.

This is also a great trip to combine with a vist to Gozo which is just a short ferry journey away.
