Ramons Village Resort

Ramon’s Village caters for adventurous divers and water sports lovers looking for a true Belizean experience. The resort is styled in Tahitian style with all cabanas built from native materials and nestled in a sanctuary of tropical gardens full of royal palms, bougainvillea, lilies, hibiscus and dozens of other types of tropical flora.

This 4-star hotel has a variety of up to 60 cabanas all authentically palm thatched with a quaint and comfortable range of amenities. The cabanas at Ramon’s have been built to suit all customer’s needs and budgets with a choice of standard, deluxe jungle and seaside cabanas as well as presidential and grand oceanfront suites.

“Pineapples On The Beach” is the on-site restaurant and is, without question, the best place to eat on the island of Ambergris Caye! Pineapples is not an enclosed, stuffy, run-of-the-mill eatery. The breakfast, lunch and dinner menus all have a wide variety of selections to choose from, in addition to the daily specials which by the way are amazing! Just ask our MJ about it. Tropic Al’s is where you can enjoy specialty coffee or choose from the dazzling selection of fruit smoothies on offer.

The Ramon’s Village Divers’ dock is the perfect launching point for any underwater adventure. Ramon’s Village Divers is the oldest and most respected dive shop in all of Belize. Some of the dive areas this PADI 5 Star IDC Resort will visit include the Jacques Cousteau’s world-famous Blue Hole, the undersea wonders of Lighthouse Reef Atoll and Turneffe Atoll, the incredible beauty of Hol Chan Marine Reserve and the unforgettable heart-pounding adventure of “swimming with the sharks” at Shark Ray Alley.

When you are not diving there is plenty to entertain you, the swimming pool and white sandy beach is a great place to start followed by a visit to the Beach Spa located under a palm thatched palapa between the pool area and the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Ramon's Village Divers

Ramon's Village Resort

Ramon’s Village Divers is the oldest and most respected dive shop in all of Belize. Rick Sutherland has managed the shop since 1989 and employs only the best of “Belize’s Best” divers to care for divers visiting the resort. Ramon’s has been a PADI 5 Star IDC Resort since 2008.

The dive centre maintains a fleet of four skiffs ranging in size from 28' to 34'. These boats are used for dives along the Belize Barrier Reef in the vicinity of Ambergris Caye and carry up to eight divers plus crew.

The proximity of the Barrier Reef, just over a 1/4 mile offshore, allows Ramon’s to choose from 30 or 40 named sites within a 5 to 15-minute boat ride from the resort’s dock. On offer there are daily trips at 9:00am, 11:30am and 2:00pm to dive sites along the Belize Barrier Reef adjacent to Ambergris Caye. Between dives, you will return to the resort’s dock to exchange tanks and fulfil your surface interval requirements. This also allows you to choose any combination of dives each day.
