Keeping You Safe at the Atlantis Resorts Philippines

Ultimate Diving has been working very closely with our exclusive partner, the Atlantis Resorts in the Philippines. The team are looking forward to welcoming you soon after months of lockdown. Just like us here in the UK, they have had to adapt to a new way of living and implement many changes to the way they operate without affecting your future stays enjoyment.

The Atlantis Resorts always aim to offer an experience you will remember and look forward to and that safety has and always will be of paramount importance to their core approach. We expect to see guidelines evolve to a point where the resorts can provide as much of the ‘full experience’ as it is safely possible as they transition to opening. For the meantime, to help put your mind at ease, we will guide you through the current preparations.

Getting to the Resorts:

All drivers and service providers will undergo prework health checks and wear masks at all times. All vehicles will undergo thorough sanitizing and carry sanitizer for your use. Remember your transfer is provided by in-house teams and they are all private meaning no changes in ability to social distance while in luxury travelling to resort.

The Resorts:

Entrances will include disinfectant soaked mats and temperature checks for everyone. There will also be logs of anyone entering the properties to record track and trace details.

Staff will undergo daily prework temperature checks and additional training on health and hygiene (much of which is already in place pending final government guidelines).

Both resorts will observe the most up to date social distancing guidelines when re-opening.

Hand washing guidelines with reminders will be displayed around the resorts as well as hand sanitizer widely available as an alternative.

For staff within the restaurant, kitchen, janitorial and housekeeping departments, the use of masks, disposable gloves and additional protection will be mandatory.

Other staff and guests will be asked to cover their nose & mouth using a tight-fitting face mask as appropriate.

All surface areas will be sanitized regularly in line with our reviewed cleaning schedule, as will light switches, door handles and so forth.

Dining practices will be adjusted to meet guidelines at the time of opening, with all food and beverages served to your table (buffets, self-service coffee and so forth will not be available within the restaurants). Sanitized cutlery will be provided after ordering.

While diving ratios and boat capacity will be adjusted in line with guidelines when re-opening. Rental gear will be fully sanitized before storing and again before issuance. There will be additional wash tubs and facilities to disinfect personal equipment before and after dives and appropriate spacing to store your equipment.

The resort’s emergency assistance plans will be updated to include treating suspected cases of Covid-19 (with local protocols when re-opening). This will include a stay in room policy should you feel ill during your stay (the resort will arrange medical assistance for your room).
