The Azores is open to divers from late June to September, made up of 9 islands in the mid-Atlantic this indpendent archelpelio is a state of Portugal. Each island is typified by dramatic landscapes, fishing villages, green meadows with hedgerows of blue hydrangea and bright blues seas.

These are the most remote islands in the Atlantic, just a few hours from the UK they offer a huge variety of dive sites and experiences including close encounters with sharks, rays, turtles and much more.

Best known for whale and dolphin sightings, the Azores is a pit stop or home to around a third of the world’s species of marine mammals. These magnificent creatures can be spotted from the surface between May and October. However, the best time for scuba divers to visit is from July to September, where they will enjoy rich waters, underwater swim through, arches, caves, and cliffs. All of which provide a magnificent environment for an array of tropical fish to flourish.
