Pro Dive Mexico - Cozumel

Allegro Cozumel Resort

Pro Dive International operates several PADI 5-Star dive centers across Mexico, with Cozumel serving as one of its key diving destinations. The company operates three dive centers on Cozumel, located at partner resorts including Allegro Cozumel, Occidental Cozumel, and Dreams Cozumel. The centers provide access to the Cozumel National Marine Park, where divers can explore more than 30 dive sites featuring coral reefs, dramatic walls, abundant marine life, and excellent drift-diving conditions.

Pro Dive International offers up to four dives per day in Cozumel, typically with two morning dives and two afternoon dives, as well as regular night dives. Many of the island's dive sites are only 5–10 minutes away by boat, while longer excursions reach sites around Punta Sur. The operation also provides excursions to the famous Yucatán cenotes, giving divers the opportunity to experience freshwater cavern environments alongside Cozumel's Caribbean reef diving.

The dive centers place a strong emphasis on diver education and professional development, offering PADI courses ranging from beginner programs and continuing education to professional-level training. Pro Dive International also operates PADI 5-Star Career Development Centers, making its facilities suitable for divers who want to progress toward professional qualifications. Certified divers are generally limited to groups of up to eight per instructor, while cenote excursions are limited to four divers per guide.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Adventure Diver

Complete three Adventure Divers (underwater photography, fish identification, etc.) and earn the Adventure Diver certification, a subgroup of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course.

You can choose what you’re most interested in learning. Need to work on your buoyancy skills? Try the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive. Want to know what you’re looking at down there? Try the AWARE - Fish Identification or Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dives. You’ll plan your path with your instructor, go over what you need to know and dive in quickly.
