Stella Maris Resort Club is a relaxed island-style resort located on Long Island in the southern Bahamas, offering visitors a peaceful beach escape with easy access to sea, sand, and nature. The property spans across several accommodation types — from ocean-view rooms and modest hotel-style rooms to cottages, villas, and larger family homes such as two-, three-, and even four-bedroom houses, giving a flexible choice whether one travels solo, as a couple, or with family.

Guests at Stella Maris can enjoy direct access to a private beach and marina, along with facilities like outdoor swimming pools, a beach bar and poolside bar, and beachfront dining. The resort supports a relaxed but active lifestyle by offering water-based activities such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, and boating from the marina. Stella Maris Marina

Long Island Port

The Stella Maris Marina is located 20 minutes from the hotel to the south of the island. Transfers are provided from the resort free of charge.

Stella Maris Marina offers an incredible variety of diving, from hundreds of coral head and reef sites on the northwest lee side of Long Island to some 15 miles of explored northeast Atlantic locations on the daily basis. Resort courses are also available.

The lee is mostly calm, with little or no current; most sites afford a 'fixed' bottom, making for easy and safe dive planning and orientation. The Atlantic shelves and reefs are dramatic, with vast areas of incredible antler and other large-growth coral fields. The water here seems bluer, the fish bigger, and underwater scenery wilder. Every dive here provides a feeling of raw adventure and yet, the shore isn't far away.

The marina is located 1 1/2 miles from the hotel (free diving transfers). The marina features an 18' deep saltwater training pool, diving equipment, docks, boat ramp, etc. Diving gear available here for guests' use, but we recommend bringing your own gear (except weights and tanks). Some equipment repairs are available, but spare items/parts are limited due to variety. Dive gear can be left on boats or in shops overnight. Gear rinsing is available on boats, at docks and at dive shop.

Please Note:

Scuba Diving may be subject to fuel surcharges.
