Volivoli Beach

Volivoli Beach is one of Fiji's best kept secrets tucked away on the northern tip of Viti Levu.

Volivoli is a wonderfully relaxed beach resort located in a truly unspoiled and spectacular corner of Fiji where life is simply sun, fun and water sports. This is the absolute perfect spot for scuba divers where the blend of white sandy beaches complement the corals reefs that surround the Bligh Waters. This area is regarded for offering some of the best soft coral diving in the world. The resort is set amongst 20 acres of tropical gardens where you will have plenty of space to relax, enjoy stunning sceneries and great food as well as experiencing a touch of luxury at affordable prices.

The resort has an energising mix of sporting activities available to all guests, including snorkelling, kayaking, game fishing and beach volleyball. Great diving is however the main agenda here with a variety of marine life and fascinating shipwrecks nearby just waiting to be explored. Ra Divers is the dive centre located on the Volivoli Beach grounds offering great value dive packages for beginners and experienced divers.

The range of accommodation at Volivoli Beach includes 10 private villas called Studio Vales, 9 rooms in the deluxe hotel wing called Vale Balavu and 4 rooms within the Lodge, all with air conditioning, beautiful views and modern amenities.

At Volivoli, you eat when you are hungry and want to eat. The restaurant and bar are open to serve you delicious meals and refreshing drinks all day. The restaurant serves food till around 9:00pm. The bar is open as long as there are people ordering drinks and socialising. There are no restrictive set meal times at Volivoli that make you wait until the dive boats get back to get a bite to eat or a drink!

The funky Pool Bar provides a variety of refreshments where you can cool off with a mouth-watering tropical cocktail followed by a refreshing dip in the pool!

Ra Divers

Volivoli Beach

Ra Divers is one of Fiji's longest established diving operations located on the grounds of the Volivoli Beach Resort in a small village north of Viti Levu called Rakiraki. This professional SSI Dive Resort was established in the 1980’s offering a variety of dive packages for beginners and advanced divers.

Ra Divers crew are renowned for their local knowledge and expertise and the current managers have been running the dive centre for over five years. Their experience diving the Bligh Waters has allowed for superb dive sites to be handpicked for a truly unique experience. Most of the best sites are no more than 20 minutes by boat from Volivoli Beach.

Volivoli Beach is one of the best places in Fiji to learn to dive. Ra Divers have an open air classroom where beginners can get certified with a SSI open water diver course and then explore the shallow waters right off the sand spit.

Dive Packages : All dive packages are based on boat morning dives. When you book a package of 6 dives or more you can take advantage of free shore diving.

PADI Open Water Diver

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Rescue Diver

Become a Rescue Diver. A great level to be. You will have the skills to aid your fellow divers in an emergency.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

Wreck dive

A trip to the local wreck dives is a must for the experienced diver. It is an amazing experience!

Generally 3 dives (weather dependant)

PADI Underwater Navigator

Fine-tune your underwater observation skills and learn to use your compass more accurately. This course may count towards college credit, ask your instructor.

You’ll learn the tools of the trade, including navigation using natural clues and by following compass headings. During three scuba dives, you’ll practice:

PADI Night Diver

The underwater world changes as day creatures retire & nocturnal organisms emerge. If you've wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, enrol in the PADI Night Diver Specialty course.

Scuba diving at night teaches you to focus on what you can see in your light’s beam, on controlling your buoyancy by feel, on staying with your buddy and on paying attention to details you may overlook during the day. During three night dives, you’ll practice:

PADI Deep Diver

Explore deeper dive sites with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130ft. Learn to manage your gas supply, go over buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control.

Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:

PADI Divemaster

Be a leader who mentors and motivates others. Gain dive knowledge, supervision abilities, and become a role model to divers around the world.
