The THB Flora Hotel, is an establishment of studios and apartments that has beautiful gardens and many other services to make your next holiday in Lanzarote a unique and enjoyable experience. The hotel is located in a quiet area of Puerto del Carmen, only 800 metres from one of the three beaches along this marvellous coastline. There is a supermarket within the establishment, providing the possibility of getting groceries if necessary. The THB Flora hotel is a 3 star establishment that has 205 studios and apartments, all fully equipped and designed to make guests feel at home while staying in Lanzarote. The apartments are cosy and comfortable with a variety of recently renovated rooms to suit all travellers, from Superior Apartments to Junior Suites and 1 bedroom apartments there will be something for you. With different dining options to suit diver’s preferences, you can choose the bed and breakfast option and eat in the local town, or you can opt for all inclusive so you won’t need to leave the resort.

Manta Diving is located in Puerto del Carmen and is a ten minute journey form THB Flora. It is a PADI accredited dive centre. Lanzarote has beautiful topography and the guides and instructors of Manta Diving will ensure that you have an incredible underwater experience! The guides at Manta Diving are friendly and fun with years of experience in advising their customers of the best diving in the area. Their professionalism enables even the newest of divers to feel comfortable in their hands. The majority of dives are shore dives as the reef is only 20 metres from the water’s edge; however some of the wrecks such as the harbour wrecks and Waikiki are accessed by boat. Other nearby dive sites include; the Blue Hole, Red Coral and the Cathedral. Marine life that can be found in the waters of Lanzarote include nudibranchs, cuttlefish, seahorses, bull rays and of course the popular angel shark!

At THB Flora Hotel you will find a full range of services that guarantees a relaxing and fun getaway. In the hotel you will enjoy the Canarian sun in pools surrounded by hammocks and have the chance to get involved in a multitude of activities organised by the entertainment team as well as much, much more! The miniclub is a space designed for the use and enjoyment of kids where a variety of activities are offered, making sure they have fun while also making new friends. To get refreshed while having fun there is the splash park which has water jets and slides for the children. Trips out of the resort are easy as a free bus service is offered so that holiday-makers can easily take daily trips to the beach of Puerto del Carmen. Other attractions nearby include a golf course which is only a ten minute drive from the hotel and Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park. The nearby promenade, known as Avenida de las Playas has many options: restaurants, shops, bars and casinos.

Manta Diving Lanzarote

Puerto Del Carmen

Manta Diving is located in Puerto del Carmen next door to the Costa Volcan Spa and is a PADI accredited dive centre. Lanzarote has beautiful topography and the guides and instructors of Manta Diving will ensure that you have an incredible underwater experience! The guides at Manta Diving are friendly and fun with years of experience in advising their customers of the best diving in the area. Their professionalism enables even the newest of divers to feel comfortable in their hands.

The diving schedule with Manta Diving is flexible, before diving begins the guide will discuss with the group where everybody would like to go, what they would like to see and a plan is made from there. Dives take place at 11am and 3pm however the meeting time is 30 minutes before to give everyone time to kit up and be briefed. Nitrox is available to all qualified divers and the speciality course can also be done with Manta Diving for an additional fee.

Manta diving will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the dive centre free of charge if participating in a dive package or course.

All certification fee’s equipment hire and manuals are included in the cost of PADI courses.

Dive package prices are based on shore dives. An additional 10€ will be charged at the dive centre if you want to go on a boat dive.

PADI Scuba Diver

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Dive Course. If you’re short on time but really want to become a diver, The PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Open Water Diver

This is the most popular dive program in the world! And can be your chance to have a lifetime of intense adventures.

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development ( online, independent study or in a classroom) to understand basic principles of scuba diving
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver

The Advanced Open Water Diver program gives you the opportunity to take your diving skill to the next level through three new areas of diving.
You complete your Deep Dive, Underwater Navigation Dive, Night Dive and two other dives for a total of five to attain your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

This certification includes five dives, including the Deep Diver, the Underwater Navigation Diver and three of the following: You’ll plan your learning path with your instructor by choosing from a long list of Adventure Dives. There are two required dives – Deep and Underwater Navigation – and you choose the other three, for a total of five dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving. The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time.

The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have – photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks and many more.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving

This course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you're short on time but really want to become a diver, the PADI Scuba Diver rating might be right for you.

The PADI Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases:

PADI Rescue Diver

Become a Rescue Diver. A great level to be. You will have the skills to aid your fellow divers in an emergency.

The PADI Rescue Diver course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

PADI Deep Diver

Explore deeper dive sites with confidence at depths down to 40 metres/130ft. Learn to manage your gas supply, go over buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control.

Your training starts by reviewing reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your personal limits. During four deep dives with your instructor, you’ll go over:

PADI Enriched Air Diver

The most popular PADI specialty course. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. During a practical session, and two optional (or required) scuba dives, you’ll:
