Grand Hotel Gozo is a four-star hotel located in Mgarr Harbour on the island of Gozo, Malta, offering panoramic views across the Gozo Channel towards Comino and mainland Malta. Extra Divers Gozo

Grand Hotel Gozo

Extra Divers Gozo is a professional dive centre located at the Grand Hotel Gozo in Ghajnsielem, on the picturesque island of Gozo, Malta. Situated just a short walk from the Mgarr ferry harbour, the centre provides an excellent base for exploring Gozo's spectacular underwater landscapes, with around 32 dive sites accessible by minibus, jeep or boat. Divers can discover dramatic walls, caves, swim-throughs and historic wrecks in exceptionally clear Mediterranean waters, with visibility reaching up to 50 metres.

The centre operates as an SSI Dive Centre, offering training from Open Water Diver through to Assistant Instructor in English, German and Spanish. Experienced instructors lead small-group guided dives to some of Gozo's most famous sites, including the Blue Hole and Inland Sea, while boat excursions can reach dive sites around Comino, Malta and Gozo. Night dives and independent diving are also available for suitably qualified divers.

Well equipped for recreational and advanced divers, Extra Divers Gozo offers Aqua Lung rental equipment, steel cylinders, air and Nitrox, two compressors, six vehicles, underwater lights, three Suex DPVs and sidemount equipment. The centre also specialises in cave and wreck diving, decompression and sidemount diving, while its calm conditions make Gozo an excellent destination for both newer divers and experienced underwater explorers.

With its convenient location at the Grand Hotel Gozo, experienced team and access to some of the Mediterranean's most celebrated wrecks, caves and reefs, Extra Divers Gozo offers a superb base for discovering the underwater treasures of Gozo and the surrounding Maltese Islands.

SSI Open Water Diver

This is a completion of a series of classroom lessons, 5 pool lessons and 5 open water lessons, the award of SSI Open Water Diver prepares the diver to enjoy their diving experience without incurring decompression stops. Kit removal and weight belt removal are included.

Open Water Lessons
5 qualification dives with 5th dive being a pleasure dive. First dive to a Maximum of 12m and subsequent dives to a maximum depth of 18m or 12m if classed as a junior.

From the beginning to end of the course, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including areas such as dive equipment and techniques that will give you the confidence and skill to become a responsible diver.

SSI Advanced Diver

The SSI Advanced Diver course expands your underwater boundaries by introducing you to five distinct diving specialties across five open-water training dives.

Deep Exploration: Master the physics, physiology, and safety protocols of diving up to 30 metres.

Underwater Navigation: Learn to use compass patterns, natural landmarks, and kick cycles to find your way.

Specialty Sampling: Complete three elective specialty dives tailored to your personal diving goals.

Skill Refinement: Improve your air consumption, buoyancy control, and situational awareness.
