Philippines Aggressor

The Philippines Aggressor is 135 feet long with a 28.5 ft. beam, built and powered for comfort, safety and stability. There is a beautiful spacious salon, sun deck with shading, chaise lounges and deck chairs, bar, and grill. The yacht is diesel powered, cruises at 10 knots and has 220V and 110V power onboard.

The scuba diving in the Philippines on a liveaboard covers a vast area with over 7640 islands. The Philippines Aggressor offers superb dive sites with cruises to Tubbataha Atoll and Visayas/Cebu region.

Comfortable accommodations for 24 guests include 12 spacious staterooms, with 5 on the lower deck, 4 on the main deck, and 3 balcony suites on the upper deck. All have a private bathroom and shower. Each stateroom has ample storage and individual climate controls.

There is a variety of nightly entertainment, including diving, fish identification presentations, movies, games and more. If you have a favorite movie or presentation to share, we encourage you to bring it along. A small library of books for exchange is maintained onboard as well as fish identification books for reference.

The Best of Visayas itinerary explores one of the richest marine regions in the Philippines, offering exceptional diving across soft coral walls, black sand slopes, and pelagic hotspots. Guests can choose between 7- or 10-night trips. The final route is determined onboard, based on weather, sea conditions, and visibility.

Divers may encounter thresher sharks, whale sharks, sardine balls, turtles, jacks, and diverse macro life such as waspfish, ghost pipefish, and other rare critters.

Located in the heart of the Sulu Sea, Tubbataha is a remote diving paradise and a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the Coral Triangle. The park includes the North Atoll, South Atoll, and Jessie Beazley Reef, offering some of the most pristine and diverse diving in the Philippines.

Dive Highlights:

•North Atoll (North Tip) – Shark haven with blacktip, whitetip, grey reef, and silky sharks, plus turtles, rays, and whale sharks. Colorful walls with soft corals and barrel sponges.

•North Atoll (South Tip) – Features the Malayan Wreck and rich marine life like dogtooth tuna, giant trevally, barracuda, manta rays, and turtles.

•South Atoll (North Tip) – Known for hammerheads, reef sharks, and other large pelagics.

•Jessie Beazley Reef – Home to thriving acropora coral and sightings of hammerheads, silky sharks, and whale sharks.

The South Visayas region offers world-class diving over a 7-night itinerary, available from June through February. This area showcases some of the best diving in the Philippines, featuring soft coral walls, black sand muck dives, and encounters with thresher sharks, whale sharks, sardines, turtles, and schooling jacks. For macro lovers, expect ghost pipefish, waspfish, and unique bottom dwellers, adding rich biodiversity to the trip.

Akitsushima

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Lying on her starboard side, Akitsushima was an ex war seaplane tender and unfortunately was hit by amidships and sank immediately. She attracts giant grouper, shoals of tuna, yellowfin, barracuda and bat fish. Her features include a seaplane crane structure, anti-aircraft guns and conveyor. The vessel takes 20 minutes to access from shore and was 115 meters in length. The Japanese vessel was powered by four diesel engines and carried a Kawanishi flying boat, crane which is now lying on the seabed. Her access is from 26 to 38 meters deep. This is a deep dive and includes metal hazards therefore you can only swim through if you hold a wreck diver certification. These divers can impressively penetrate into the engine room exploring the four engines and machinery.

Olympia Maru

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Olympia Maru, formerly Tangat Wreck, was a Japanese Army Auxiliary Supply Ship carrying vital aircraft spare parts.  160 metres in length with a maximum depth of 27m. The Wreck is sitting up right close to Tangat Island in Coron Bay. This visibility is 15m and attracts a wide variety of marine life such as Giant Puffers, Bat fish, crocodile fish, scorpion fish and plenty of tropical fish. The ship was operating in 1930, powered by a steam engine until she sank in September 1944 by an US Air Attack. Still two boilers remain in the engine room. The bomb hit the bridge which is almost completely destroyed. Divers can access the main deck at 18-24m making it a fairly easy and shallow wreck dive. The Olympia Maru offers easy and more complicated penetrations, the cargo is easy and perfect place to start if this is your first wreck dive. Divers can swim through the propeller shaft which is a difficult penetration.

Kogyo Maru

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Kogyo Maru, a cargo vessel from Osaka, 180 meter in length and built in 1938 powered by oil fueled steam turbines. She was a Japanese freighter carrying construction materials for building a runway for the Japanese war. These materials can still be found in the cargo room, equipment including a bulldozer, tractor, cement sacks and a mixer. Also visible is the anti-aircraft weapons located on the deck. The ship sank on her starboard side 34 meters deep by the US during World War II in 1944. You can swim through the engine room and bridge and six different paths. Visit portside to observe soft coral growing and the expanding fish life living on the artificial coral reef lying at 22meters. Below deck is a variety of hardware made for moving cargo around the ship. Spot the barracuda schools flash past you or the groupers living around the wreck!

Gunboat

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This is located at the southern end of Lusong Island. The stern breaks the surface at low tide. The conditions are clear, calm and shallow water.

A shallow wreck, lying from the surface to 10 meters (33 feet), this is equally good for snorkelling and wreck photography, and is often used for relaxation between main dives. The wreck has been salvaged, and the entire top is gone. It is nicely covered with sponges and soft corals, and has many copper band butterfly fish, six-banded angelfish, and puffer fish of all sizes, batfish and various sea cucumbers.

Irako

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This massive 200-meter Japanese refrigeration vessel, resting upright on the sea bed, is frequently home to Giant Groupers, as well as shoals of Tuna, Yellow Fin, Lion and Scorpion fish. She lays at the mouth of Coron Bay 28-40 meters deep. She weighs 9723 tons and is 19 meters wide. Irako was damaged and sunk in January 1944 by US Submarine, North-west of Truk. The main deck is 34 meters and it is advised that only the advanced divers penetrate the wreck due to the depth. Divers can penetrate the machine shop compartment where you will explore the bench drill and metal production machinery. This wreck usually has the best visibility of all Coron Bay Wrecks. The engine room is for the experienced and well-equipped divers as it offers a deep penetration. The two engines were steam powered geared turbines sourced from boilers.

Tangat Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Located West of the southwest end of Tangat Island. The conditions are normally calm, with light currents that can become very strong at spring tides.

A Japanese freighter 122 meters (400 ft) long, 5,000 gross tons, it sits almost upright with perhaps a 15 degree list to port, pointing 170 degrees in 30 meters (100 feet) of water; the main deck is at 18-24 meters (60-80 feet). The site provides a good introduction to wreck diving for novices, with easy penetration of the cargo holds and a good variety of fish lives. There are several large puffer fish, lots of large lionfish and scorpion fish, a lone bump head parrotfish, shoals of batfish, snappers and sweepers, six-banded angelfish and innumerable sponges. In good visibility, this is an excellent wreck for photographers.

East Tangat Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Located close to southwest side of Tangat Island. The conditions are shallow calm water.

Believed to be a tugboat or an anti-submarine craft, 40 meters (130 feet) long, 500 gross tons, it lies to its starboard down a sandy slope, with the stern at 22 meters (72 feet) and the top of the bow at 3 meters (10 feet), pointing 320 degrees. This small wreck looks as though it has seen some recent salvage work. The water is mostly shallow enough for snorkellers.

There are no corals on the wreck, but there is some large lettuce coral beside it. There are small angelfish, butterfly fish - particularly copper band butterfly fish - and white sponges.

Kyokuzan Maru

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This huge 180-meter wreck, Kyokuzan can offer up to 30 meters of visibility and a depth of 40 meters and her deck level of between 22 and 28 meters. She was a Japanese freighter vessel carrying staff cars and trucks in the cargo rooms. She looks intact and stands upright on the seabed. The reason there is so many Japanese wrecks is that they hoped by distributing their ships around the island to avoid American air raids but they were mistaken and Kyokuzan became yet another wreck in the 1944 raids. You can access her through the mask area at 12-14 meters, the wheel house at 22-24 meters, deck level at 26-28 meters and the first level cargo area at 30-33m. The Kyokuzan Maru shelters batfish and barracudas which you’ll be able to see around the wreck.

Nanshin Maru

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Nanshin is sitting upright on the sandy sea bed, she was a 45 meter long fishing vessel and is located in Black Island. Divers can expect up to 30 meters of visibility making her an ideal night dive and great underwater photography with a depth of 21-32 meters. This wreck is perfect for beginnings and offers an adventurous dive with sightings of lion, scorpion and bat fish. She carried specific oils in tanks such as diesel and gasoline for land depots. It is thought to have sunk after the war in a typhoon. The bow is 34 meters and the stern is 20 meters. You can penetrate the wreck at the empty engine room, some parts of the bridge and the empty cargo. The dive site is very remote which attracts pelagic animals including large rays and sharks. You may also spot sea snakes on the sea bed.

Malapascua Island

The Visayas , Philippines

“North Point” is used as our house reef, although it takes a short boat ride. The rock formation and small canyons on the northern part of Malapascua are covered with beautiful hard and soft corals. A wide variety of reef fish, different kinds of rays, nudibranchs, cuttlefish, and shell can be found here as well as huge crabs. This place is also known for its beautiful night dive.

Gato Island

The Visayas , Philippines

The name of the Island was derived from the Spanish term “Gato” meaning cat. This is because the Island is shaped like a sitting cat. The Island is a protected marine sanctuary. It has become famous as a breeding place for the "black & white banded" sea snakes and also for his sleeping sharks. The Island has spectacular caves & rock formations, and steep walls and rocks are covered by beautifully coloured gorgonian sea fans. On the different dive spots around the Island you can find lots of nudibranchs as well as sea horses, shells, shrimps, sea snakes, scorpion fish, frogfish, big cuttlefish, stingrays, whitetip sharks, reef sharks, bamboo sharks, schools of squids, tuna and snappers.

This site is an underwater haven for macro photographers. Besides 3 underwater caves there is a tunnel system, which runs under the northern part of the Island starting at 15ft/5m with a large exit at 42ft/14m. It contains all kinds of interesting sea life like lobsters, crabs and even sleeping white tips. Only the more experienced divers can enter the tunnel and a torch is always needed

Pescador Island

The Visayas , Philippines

Located southwest of Tongo Point in the Tanon Strait, this is the best diving area of Cebu. Pescador Island is an open top funnel that bottoms out. It also has a wall that overhangs cracks and crevices with gorgonian sea fans, black coral, large barrel and tube sponges. The fish life includes just about everything: sweet lips, jacks, barracuda, Napoleon Wrasse, Moorish idols, parrotfish, White tip and Grey Reef Shark, lionfish, Zebra Lionfish, scorpion fish, stonefish, moray eels, sea snakes, Hammerhead sharks, Manta Rays and Spanish Dancer nudibranchs.

Jessie Beazley

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Jessie Beazley Reef is situated about 20km North West of North Tubbataha. This small reef is only half a kilometre in diameter yet offers some striking diving. It is not protected as a Marine Park, so fishing is still allowed.

The reef slopes to between 7 and 12 metres finishing at a wall that drops off to over 50m. The shallows are covered with corals that support a huge and diverse population of reef fish. White tip and black tip reef sharks are common as are tuna, groupers, barracuda and mackerel. Hammerhead, mako and thresher sharks also occasionally venture into these waters.

Bird Island

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Bird Island is situated on the north face of the north atoll; the wall starts in 5 and 8 metres of water. Small manta rays, lagoon and eagle rays, together with flounders and turtles have all been seen around these parts. The wall has huge gorgonians, barrel sponges and soft corals. Black tip, white tip and grey reef sharks can normally be seen as well snappers, surgeonfish, groupers, Moorish idols and jacks. Large manta rays are common and pelagics are here all the time. The wall itself drops sharply to depths that are normally unreachable. Currents are changeable and can sometimes be fierce, so it's not a good idea to dive in bad conditions.

East Face - North Island

The whole stretch of this face is excellent for diving. Currents can be changeable and violent, so exploration is not always possible. The best time to dive here is at dusk when the fish are feeding.

The dive starts from 15-25m along a sandy bottom covered with corals and descends to greater depths for the advanced diver. Almost every type of native reef fish can be found here, the list is endless, but includes damselfish, angelfish, lionfish and scorpion fish. Sea cucumbers, nudibranches and crinoids are everywhere.

Amos Rock

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This site is found on the south side of the north Island. It starts on a gentle slope that is covered in corals and ends with a wall covered in gorgonian fans and whip corals. Here divers will come across a wide variety of large fish, including mackerel, snapper and large groupers. You're also certain to see white tip and gray reef sharks that inhabit these waters in large numbers. Other fish that can be seen include Moorish idols, angelfish, surgeonfish and fusiliers.

North Face - South Island

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The sites around this face are normally calm, but currents can become violent and diving is not advisable during these times. There is a gentle incline from 10 to 20 metres to begin, leading to a steep drop-off that is excellent for sport divers. The area is particularly renowned for Green and Hawksbill turtles that are commonly seen swimming around the edge of the reef or resting. There are plenty of schools of reef fish and larger pelagics including mackerel and barracuda can be seen. White tip reef sharks, together with manta and eagle rays occasionally come into these waters.

East Face - South Island

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Leaning down gently to 24m, the reef ends at a wall that stretches north for 12km. The reef is undulating and home to a wide variety of angelfish, groupers, parrotfish and butterfly fish.

Lying partly submerged and right on the edge of the drop-off is the Delsan wreck. The wall is vertical and Moorish idols, surgeons and triggerfish are among the many different types of schooling that can be seen here.

Light House

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The area around here is also known as The Lighthouse due the location of one right on the southern tip.

Diving here is very similar to the north face of the southern Islaned, but there is a larger area of shallow reef top. Heredivers will have the opportunity to see small reef fish, corals, sponges and anemones. Also common are blue-spotted lagoon rays, sea cucumbers and sea stars. Close to the lighthouse itself, turtles are common as they are attracted by the sea grass that grows there.

Malayan Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Here divers can see the remains of a Malayian ship that stranded here from the mooring place. The current on the corners can be strong and therefore lots of fish will hang around there. Here you will have the opportunity to see large groups of dogtooth tuna and even an eagle ray, moray eels, angelfishes, butterfly fishes and other smaller reef fish as well as some lobsters, starfish and flatworms.

Black Rock

The Black Rock is located north east of the south island. The vertical wall is not covered with much corals. Here divers will have the opportunity to see some sharks patrolling, mostly white tip reef sharks, Napoleon wrasses and manta ray on the reef top.

Pescador Island Cathedral

The Visayas , Philippines

The Pescador Cathedral has a depth of 2 to 65 meters and visibility of 20 to 40 meters. There is an unbelievable variety of corals, frog fish, schools of lion fish, barracudas, tuna and snappers, etc. There is a magnificent cave that has a heavenly view of the surface so it's easy to see why it's called the Cathedral. Occasionally you will meet sharks and at the north east side there is a plateau where you can find nudibranchs, shrimps and lots of other small marine life. The wall is covered with soft coral which offers a home to octopus, moray eels, snake-eels, nudibranchs and many more.

North Point

The Visayas , Philippines

With its strong currents this site creates a perfect habitat for soft corals, there are many different species of here, which grow in an abundance creating a magical colorful garden. Stunning rock formations and canyons create ideal hiding places for scorpion fish, frogfish and lionfish. The soft corals house many varieties of nudibranch and flatworms. Sea horses have also been seen hanging off the coral branches. Other marine life includes angelfish, batfish and moray eels. This is an interesting dive to suit all levels of divers.

Barracuda Lake

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This freshwater lake is surrounded by limestone cliffs and served by a hot spring. Water temperature varies from 27-40 oC. The transition between cold and hot water is abrupt. The meeting of water types is visible. There are numerous shells on the bottom, shrimps on the walls and a few rabbit fish in the shallow area. The scenario is splendid and will surely be enjoyed by divers and non-divers. The coastal town of Coron is also worth a visit.

Lang-Aw Reef

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This reef will offer divers the opportunity to see abundant fish life predominantly composed of surgeonfish, rabbit fish, damselfish, wrasses, parrotfish, groupers and butterfly fish. Fusiliers and trevallies are commonly sighted. Cuttlefish (seasonal), rays and turtles are occasionally seen. Huge pits and mats of rubbles indicate previous blasting activity in the area. The good new s is Acropora corals are starting to regenerate.

Diboyuyan Reef

Barry’s Reef

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Here divers will have the opportunity to see plenty of macro subjects on this reef: Spanish dancers, sweetlips, anemones, anemone fish and shrimps. There is one huge cabbage coral about 2.5 meters in diameter and Acropora coral about 2 metres in diameter. Small to medium-sized Porites corals are arranged to form some sort of a big stairway.

Club Paradise House Reef

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This meandering reef features different species of tunicates, sponges, sea stars, sea cucumbers, turtles and cuttlefish (seasonal). An aggregation of giant clams (Tridacna gigas, an endangered species) is located at 12 meters. Several species of damselfish, wrasses, groupers, fairy basslets, emperors, parrotfish, snappers, butterfly fish, flying gurnard and cardinal fish are among the inhabitants of the reef. Those that burrow in sand include sand perches, lizard fishes, flat fishes, stingrays and certain wrasses. During the day, a large aggregation of jacks can be found in the inner reef slope. Fusiliers, barracudas and tunas roam large areas around the island while a number of reef-associated fishes venture to the open sea.

Bunk House Reef

The largest giant clam in the area is located here. Undisturbed for several years, this clam has grown over a meter in length. Massive corals and huge basket sponges grow in this area. Bump head parrotfish, turtles, rays and sharks are occasionally sighted.

Black Island Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Measuring about 45 meters long and lying upright, this coastal vessel has a superstructure, which houses a variety of fish. The hull is covered with sponges and hydrozoans. Next to the wreck is a natural reef, which can be visited as well. The Island is called "Black Island" because of its black rocks. The rock formation is very impressive. Plus the white beach and caves make the place a good destination not just for diving. This island and the reef are traditionally used by the Tagbanua, a tribal group in Palawan. Hence, the area belongs to what they call - Ancestral Domain.

Taiei Maru Wreck

This oil tanker is about 168 meters long and lying almost level. It is well covered with sponges, corals, nudibranchs, slugs and tunicates. Fish life includes snappers, fusiliers, batfish and the ubiquitous lionfish and scorpion fish.

Apo Island

Apo Island offers a number of sites. The whole Northeast side of Apo Reef consists of drop-offs and overhangs where white tip reef and grey reef sharks, turtles, barracuda and shoals of snapper can be found. The reef is covered with table corals, stag horn corals, porites corals, fire corals and a variety of soft corals. The remainder of Apo Reef have steep walls with strong currents that attract pelagic such as hammerhead sharks and manta rays.

Cabilao Island

The Visayas , Philippines

Cabilao Island is located to the south west of Pangangan Island in the Bohol Strait and has a great diversity of dive sites that suit divers of different skills and expertise. More than 800 species of underwater life such as corals, shells of different sizes, sea snakes, barracudas, large groupers, napoleon wrasses and snappers inhabit the dive sites. Also it is home to hammerhead sharks in deeper waters more suited for the experienced diver.

Pamilacan Island

The Visayas , Philippines

The Pamilacan dive site is a slope dive and not very good for snorkelling because it is too deep with sandy parts in the shallow side. The reef slopes are rich with coral heads, soft corals and even coral strings. Fishes that can be sighted here are the delicate sea whip, schools of napoleon wrasse, barracudas, batfish and an occasional manta ray.

Delsan Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

Laying in of water, this wreckage attracts schools of snappers & sweetlips, as well as eagle rays and plenty of sharks. White tips, black tips and grey reef sharks can all be seen feeding here. Turtles are common visitors and there are plenty of molluscs and crustaceans to entertain macro lovers around the wreckage and along the wall. During our trips we often dive here twice as the marine life is simply fantastic.

Washing Machine

The reef slopes then drops into the abyss, not for the feint hearted, Washing machine is known for its strong and sometimes unpredictable currents, however with them come the sharks and manta rays. Grey reef and white tips are amongst the common sightings and the occasional hammerhead is know to cruise by and the mantas make diving in currents look easy and graceful! Expect also to see large Napoleon wrasse, pickhandle barracuda, jacks and dogtooth tuna.

Donato's Wall

Adorned with stunning sea fans and colourful soft corals, Donato’s wall is super for wide-angle photography. Schools of bannerfish hove in the blue, turtles bimble along the wall and from the sandy bed garden eels and gobies emerge. Nurse sharks are also seen here and the hard coral formations are very impressive.

Diver's Heaven

Typically with stronger currents than most dives during the trip, Diver’s Heaven is a character site of Balicasag with a steep reef wall, many overhangs with soft corals, sponges & sea fans. Schools of jacks and chevron barracuda are frequently seen, along with pyramid butterfly fish and bannerfish. Warty frogfish, leaf fish and porcelain crabs are just a few of the smaller creatures that can be found at this dive site.

Dauin Norte (Poblacion)

The Visayas , Philippines

This site starts with a gentle slope where you can observe different fish species including the Frogfish, Ghost Pipefish, Crabs and Shrimps, and then continues with a gorgeous coral reef that houses marine creatures such as Barracudas, Hued Anthias, Damsel fish and Snappers. At this site, there are also the Hairy Squat Lobsters that are known to live on barrel sponges, and the Yellowtail Barracuda that impressively creates a tunnel around you as you dive. The common residents include the Hawksbill Turtles and the Green Turtles. On rare occasions you are able to see the Blue-Ringed Octopus and the Leaf Scorpionfish that hides between the Lettuce Corals.

Dauin Sur

The Visayas , Philippines

Due to the fact that there are almost no currents here, you will be able to experience a relaxing dive while observing a wide variety of fish including the Giant Groupers, Ribbon Eels, Crinoid Aquat Lobsters and Green Turtles. Right at the base of this breathtaking reef, you will be able to observe a few species of Razor Wrasse, Garden Eels, Nudibranchs and on rare occasions the Giant Barracuda and the amazing Dogtooth Tuna.

Apo Island - Rock Point East

The Visayas , Philippines

This is a large finger-shaped reef protruding from Apo Island’s South East corner. Its proximity leaves it exposed to stronger currents, which ensures incredible fish life and Coral formations, as well as the occasional visit from larger pelagic fish. The east side of Rock Point is a steep wall, which leads to a plateau at the tip of the point. Depending on currents, divers have the choice of continuing to the west side, exploring the plateau or doing a U-Turn and returning along the east wall. Colorful clouds of schooling fish, impressive Hard and Soft Coral formations and interesting macro subjects can be found here. Schooling Fusiliers, Butterflyfishes, Surgeonfishes, Longfin Bannerfish and Red-Toothed Triggerfishes are some of the species that are very numerous in this site, plus hunting Giant and Bluefin Trevally can sometimes be seen here too. As with all other sites on Apo Island, there is always a high chance of seeing Turtles and Sea Snakes.

Apo Island - Rock Point West

The Visayas , Philippines

The west side of Rock Point is a steep slope, which leads to a plateau at the tip of the point. Depending on the current, divers have the choice of continuing to the east side to explore the plateau or returning along the west slope. The deeper parts of the slope have great Hard Corals and Sponges, and it is possible to see larger fish, like Longnose Emperor, passing by. The shallower sections are covered in a luxurious Soft Coral forest; it’s some of the healthiest and most prolific Corals you will ever see! As these Soft Corals are a favorite food of the Hawksbill Turtle, there is a good chance of seeing several of the resident population while diving here. Sometimes Giant Frogfish can be found here perched on top of Sponges, as well as all the usual tropical reef fishes and a variety of different Nudibranchs and Flatworms.

Gato - Cathedral

The Visayas , Philippines

Explore some of the more amazing rock formations around Gato, including the stunning Cathedral rock. This is a great place to see sharks - we have seen as many as 15 whitetips circling. It is also possible to see blue-spotted rays.

Marine Sanctuary

This dive site slopes from 5m to 18m and then drops. In this area you can see a forest of huge sea fans. This site is good for both wide angle and macro photography. Hard and soft corals, leaf fish and the unusual ghost pipe fish await you here. Tuna and White Tip Sharks can be spotted occasionally.

Oslob

The Visayas , Philippines

Situated in the southeastern part of Cebu Province, is well-known as a site for whale shark watching. Local fishermen started feeding the whale sharks who came to visit the area and as a result many tourists come here specifically to see the whale sharks being fed and to snorkel and dive among them.

Sumilon Island

The Visayas , Philippines

WEST - A classic wall dive that runs the length of the island. This can be split into two or dived as one continuous dive site. The intricate topography, vast rock structures coupled with clear visibility makes this a feast for the eyes. Fish everywhere, stunning shallows and still water makes the west side of the island a favourite for all. NORTH - Generally a drift dive with varying currents depending on the tides. The topography of the site goes from a shallow coral garden down a steep sandy slope with scattered coral lumps. This is often a site that throws a few surprise pelagics into the mixer with sightings of blacktips, whitetips and whale sharks. A wonderful drift. EAST - Think back to when you were young and how you imagined the underwater world to be. This is Sumilon East. No current, set on a shallow slope with an array of mind blowing colors created by a plethora of stunning corals and reef fish of every description. This is a must do dive for any level of diver.

Cuyo Island

Cuyo Island is a group of islands in Palawan that is popular with its rich coral reefs. A fish sanctuary in Quijano beach in Magsaysay is being protected. Although some of the islands in this area are uninhabited, it is very well-known because of the luxury resort Amanpulo.

North Atoll - Wall Street

One of the most popular coral reef wall dives within the Tubbataha park, ‘Wall Street’ is a sheer wall dive plunging deep into the blue of the Sulu Sea. Notable sightings at the ‘Wall Street’ dive include Napoleon Wrasse, and blacksaddle coral grouper. Lucky divers have even spotted a whale shark here.

T Wreck

Okikawa Maru

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Okikawa Maru is the largest wreck of the Coron Bay in the Philippines, 168 meters long. Covered in stunning corals and marine-life such as snappers, huge batfish and search for large fish hiding in the deckhouses! The deck is between 10m and 16m making a great wreck dive for beginners. The maximum depth is 26 meters. Experience wreck divers can explore through various penetrations including the propeller shaft and through all the way to the engine room. Most divers take an hour to dive this wreck, there are strong currents. Okikawa was a civilian tanker that like most Coron Wrecks, sank in 1944 during World War II by the US air raid. She was misidentified for years and was thought to be Taiei Maru which sunk in the area but by a submarine rather than the air raid. The section of Okikawa Maru that was blasted by the bomb allows a swim-through at the bow. She can be accessed from the shore and takes about 10 minutes via speed boat from resorts.

Skeleton Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Skeleton Gunboat is a 25-meter gunboat wreck, located close to the Island of Coron. The dive is beach accessible and is relatively shallow inclined at an angle of 45 degrees, pointing away from Coron Island and a 7 to 22 meter slope. This site has created colorful coral life. Depth from 22 to 25 meters, divers can swim from the inside and over the coral reef passing through the starboard side at 14 meters. The wreck is sloped along the reef from 5 meters deep at the front of the vessel and 22 meters at the back.

Lusong Island Wreck

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

The Lusong Gunboat wreck is 30m long and was either a gunboat or submarine hunter. She is located on the east of Lusong Island in a reef accessible from the shore. The wreck is covered in hard corals and a variety of marine life. At low tide, you can sometimes see the stern pointing out of the sea. The bow has a maximum depth of just 12 meters. The depth ranges from 3 to 12 meters in total.

Sangat Sub Chaser

Palawan & Tubbataha, Philippines

This 35 meter World War II Japanese sub-chaser wreck, located east of Sangat Island sank 3-meters below the surface. The wreck dive has a depth of 3-18 meters. The size and shape of this vessel has given a name to the wreck, The Sangat Gunboat but after exploring and studying the wreck, divers have identified a onboard solar unit confirming it was most likely designed to be a sub-chaser. This wreck is ideal for beginners as it is a quick and easy dive where as some of the other Coron wrecks can be up to 40 meters deep.

In this area lies a shipwreck dive site, Malayan Wreck located on an beautiful wall. This shipwreck scuba diving experience includes big animal action with the chance to see dogtooth tuna, giant trivially, different species of barracuda in large schools, turtles, manta rays and almost every kind of native reef fish imaginable.
