Manila, also known as the Pearl of the Orient, is located in Southern Luzon, the largest of the three with more than 7,000 islands that make up the nation known as the Philippines. The city flanks Manila Bay, and is divided into northern and southern sections by the Pasig River.

Banaue is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ifugao rice terraces of Northern Luzon.

The Bicol Region or Bicolandia is one of the 17 regions of the Philippines. It occupies the Bicol Peninsula at the Southeastern end of Luzon island and some other islands.
