Manta Alley

Bali, Indonesia

At Manta Alley the water clarity can sometimes be only about 40 feet, but the plankton that steps on visibility also consistently attracts manta rays to this site. Here divers can see manta rays cruising the shallows along the sloping face of the reef, and with a bit of luck and a careful approach they could get fairly close.

Crystal Rock

Komodo & Lesser Sunda, Indonesia

Crystal Rock is a large seamount that barely breaks the surface, but below is very rich in marine life, particularly lionfish, anthias, coral grouper, and butterfly fish. Some of the current underwater is swift, but nothing that divers cannot swim against and the rich wide-angle potential of the colourful filter feeders make it worthwhile.
